Overwhelmed? You’ve Already Been Rescued.

We’ve all been there. The feeling of being completely overwhelmed, like an invisible weight is pressing down on your chest. Life’s pressures—family, work, health, finances—can feel like a relentless storm. The evil one loves to use this feeling of being overwhelmed to make us feel hopeless and alone.

But the truth is, if you are in Christ, you have already been rescued.

The Bible tells us in Colossians 1:13 that God rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His Son. This wasn’t something you did or earned. It was a one-time, permanent act by God Himself. He did all the work. You are simply the beneficiary.

When you feel like you can’t take another breath, remember this truth. Your identity isn’t defined by the pressure of your circumstances or the lies whispering in your ear. Your identity is found in Christ’s kingdom, where you have been permanently placed. He has already done the heavy lifting, so you don’t have to carry the weight of the world on your own.
